Object of study: adaptive and productive qualities of the Landrace pigs. Objective: to increase the efficiency of the Landrace pigs in industrial technology based on an assessment of adaptive and productive qualities. Methods: livestock, laboratory, population genetic, statistical, analytical. Theoretical and practical results: the theoretical plane - updated scientific information on the duration and dynamics of the establishment of adaptive homeostasis in pigs, as well as the efficiency of industrial crossing to ensure the capacity of the production of lean pork, especially bacon. In practice - defined duration and characteristics of the adaptation of young pigs Landrace breed of foreign origin in industrial technology, established the feasibility of using adapted to industrial technology Landrace breed sows, it is proved that the young hybrid resulting from a combination of breeds Landrace and Duroc characterized by high qualities of bacon . The novelty of the first time studied the impact of the process of adaptation to changing conditions on growth, reproductive, fattening and meat quality of pigs Landrace breed for three consecutive generations. Was further developed to study patterns of growth and development of purebred and crossbred piglets depending on the conditions of industrial technology, identifying the specific features of formation of fattening and slaughter traits crossbred calves received as a result of the direct and reciprocal crosses pig breeds Landrace, Duroc and Large White fattening up for live weight 100 and 120 kg, and the establishment of quality depending on bacon halves, physico-chemical properties and the histological structure of muscle tissue from young animals of the genotype and the weighted Conditions.
