Boyko L. The activity of Ukrainian society of guarding of sights of history and culture (second half of the 20th - beg.of the XXI century)

The dissertation is devoted to the role of a charitable scientific-creative non-state organization - Ukrainian society of guarding the monuments of history and culture (USGMHC), solving current problems of search, study, preservation, restoration and propaganda of historic and cultural heritage, as well as to controlling the observance of legal acts concerning cultural and historic heritage and its use in the second half of the 20th item - beg.of the 21st century). Different approaches of the USGMHC as of a cultural phenomenon are described, as well as the basic directions, forms and methods of its work, in terms of forming the priorities of public policy. The dissertation regards the influence of different public organizations dealing with guarding the sights of history on the national system of preserving the historic and cultural heritage of Ukraine as well as the interdisciplinary aspects of its theoretical comprehension. The analysis of normative and legal maintenance of the cultural and historic heritage is provided. The dissertation contains a research on the publishing activity of Ukrainian society in the field of guarding cultural and historic monuments. The types of printed editions of USGMHC are defined due to their structure and purpose.
