The object: training the future teachers of natural sciences in the high educational institutions; objective: theoretical background, development and experimental verification of an integrated system of training the future teachers of natural sciences to the senior pupils’ social and professional self-determination; methods: theoretical-analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical, scientific and technical literature; systematization, generalization; empirical - diagnostic methods (observation, questioning, curriculum analyzing, literature analysis), oral and written interviews, talks design, methods of self-assessment, expert assessment; pedagogical experiment with qualitative and quantitative analysis of results; statistics - the method of averages and paired comparisons; innovation: the system of training the future teachers of natural sciences in the high educational establishments for social and professional self-determination of senior pupils is theoretically grounded, structural components of the teachers’ training for social and professional self-determination of senior pupils are identified, the criteria and parameters are theoretically developed, the levels of students’ readiness for professional work performance are characterized, the content of pedagogical psychology and natural sciences for professional orientation is enriched by theoretical materials, the concept "self-determination", "socio-professional self-determination", "readiness", "training" are improved; scientific and theoretical thesis about the nature, content and structure of social and professional self-determination got the further development; the research results can be used to further studies in the theory and practice of professional education, including the training of natural sciences’ teachers, in-service training and retraining of teachers, in self-educational activities of future teachers; specialty – theory and methodology of professional education.
