Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of theoretical foundations of analysis of financial globalization, its impact on financial systems of Central and Eastern Europe and determination of priority directions of state policy to ensure stable development of financial system of Ukraine under globalization. The dissertation starts with the review of theoretical approaches to define financial globalization, its factors and evolution. Later on, it reveals impact of financial globalization on national financial systems: defines factors of financial globalization development and factors and directions of financial globalization impact on national financial systems development. The author also makes comparative analysis of methods of financial globalization measurement and assesses current trends in financial globalization. The dissertation explores key factors of financial globalization impact on financial systems of Central and Eastern Europe: global and country-specific processes; and defines consequences of globalization of financial systems: impact on financial markets, financial stability, and financial regulation. In addition, similar and different trends in globalization of financial systems of CEE and Ukraine were discovered. In the end the author proposes ways to lessen negative consequences of globalization of financial system of Ukraine and determines priority directions to ensure stable development of financial system of Ukraine under globalization.
