Essay

The work is devoted to the research of the problems of establishing and development of recreation industry of national economy of Crimea in soviet time. The building of soviet resort industry was begun by bolshevists in the early 1918. In reality the embodiment of it began only at the end of civil war and capturing of Crimea at the end of 1920. The main directions of development of this industry in a period of 1920-1930 were increasing of quantitative indexes (the quantity of sanatoriums, rest-homes, vacationers), also the creation of the children's health-resorts (pioneer camps), numbers of medical establishments (mostly for patients with tuberculosis), and the development of health-improvement establishments. The regulation of recreation activity realized mostly by decrees and by the decisions of government bodies. In post-war period renewal of industry took place slowly, without changing of the basic approaches. After connection Crimea to Ukraine the development of industry was accelerated. Only from the beginning of 1970th the tendency of getting things put in order took place in nature protection business, redevelopment of coast, improvement of the ecological state of resorts. After 1991 resort industry turned out in crisis, and its development was broken. Only in the last years new directions and tendencies appeared in recreation business.
