Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the lichen biota ofa the Uholsky massif of Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. It comprises 360 species, 125 genera 52 families and 14 orders. Among them 220 species were new for the territory of study, 95 species - new for Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, 23 - new for Ukrainian Carpathians, 6 - new for Ukraine. 2 types, 8 group and 90 kinds of biotopes were marked out in Uholsky massif. The greatest features of similarity are found out among lichenobiotas which grow in beech, beech and ash, beech and maple, beech forests. The most valuable territories in Uholsky massif are pure beech primeval forests.
