Horkavyy S. Role of the International European Organizations in Drugs Trafficking Counteraction

The thesis is devoted to a role played by the European international organizations in fight against the illegal drug trafficking. The author analyses the practice of the international legal cooperation within the European institutions in drug trafficking counteraction. It is discovered that the modern system of institutional cooperation in Europe in relation to illegal drug trafficking counteraction is formed by different actors: the international organizations, the international specialized bodies, the specialized international regional organizations as well as the national authorities and organizations. The European institutions have formed the dynamic system of drug trafficking counteraction which is subject continuous changes, stipulated, in particular, by the European integration directions. The directions for the future cooperation of Ukraine with the European international organizations and law enforcement authorities in drug trafficking counteraction have been identified.
