Donskaja Е. Musical-poetic synthesis as a phenomena of culture (based on the materials of the Silver age masterpieces)

The dissertation is devoted to the exposure and revealing ways and methods of artistic musical-poetic synthesis used by masters of Arts of the Silver age. The study of the ways and methods is conducted on the basis of semiotics approach. A complicated image is interpreted as a synthetic designatum which is a reflection of the combined influence of the set of elementary signs, symbols, and artistic constructions of these elements in consciousness. A number of universal ways and methods for creating images which are transformation invariant while moving in the space of different artistic texts are exposed. The following basic elements and ways of synthesis are detected and described: pattern, rhythm, motion, intonation, sound symbolism, alliteration, direct use of specific facilities of contiguous forms of the arts, counterpoint, and improvisation. Two basic methods of structural synthesis of images are defined: the method of synthesis from basic forming components to a multidimensional artistic image and the method of synthesis from compound concept to the basic forming components.
