Essay

The object of the research is coniferous sorts logs cutting into radial lumber and stock materials to meet the joiner’s production needs. The aim of the paper is process improvement methods and means elaboration of coniferous sorts logs cutting into lumber to meet the joiner’s production needs. The methods of the research are system analysis, mathematic statistics, experiments planning theory and dispersion analysis, operations research, automatic lines theory methods. The scientific novelty: the usage expediency of cutting-segmental and cutting-segmental-angular means of coniferous sorts logs cutting into radial lumber depending on the logs diameter and their cross-section ellipticity has been substantiated for the first time; the log model which counts its cross-section along the whole length, generating surface and spindle curvature has been improved, as well as natural inner defects; the mathematic model of the multistage process of the coniferous sorts logs cutting into radial lumber and stock materials by cutting-segmental and cutting-segmental-angular means; the radial lumber output dependence on cutting ways and proportional-qualitative characteristics of coniferous sorts logs according to which wood usage efficiency rises 43,8-47,4% has been defined. The following items have the practical significance: software for logs surface imitational modeling; software for coniferous sorts logs cutting process modeling into lumber of set proportions and quality with the help of various means; wood balance components computation technique in the process of logs cutting into radial lumber; determination technique of sawed lumber sorts, as well as constructed graphic dependence; software for logs cutting multistage process optimization into lumber and stock materials of set proportions and quality. Basic statements and findings have been used for technological process organization of radial lumber production at woodworking factories. The sphere of research is woodworking.
