The thesis studied the problem of the formation of musical and aesthetic competence of primary school teachers in the process of studying the musical disciplines. We proved the relevance of the theme, analyzed the content and status of music and aesthetic competence in the context of teaching faculties. We specified the essence of the concept of "musical-aesthetic competence of future teachers of elementary school" as an experience that integrates basic musical knowledge, practical skills, the development of musical abilities in the practice and focus on the implementation of the musical and aesthetic education in elementary school. We outlined structural components, defined criteria, indicators and the level of musical and aesthetic competence of primary school teachers. We substantiated, experimentally developed and tested pedagogical conditions of formation of musical and aesthetic competence of primary school teachers in the process of studying the musical disciplines.
