Essay

The subject is the technological process of manufacturing fiber boards. The aim is to ground technology schedules and tool design parameters for cutting fiberboard with disc blades. The methods used are the light and shadow sections of the surface, physical, mechanical, randomization, and mathematical statistics. The innovative value: it is proved that the process of cutting of fiberboard with disk blades is more efficient compared to cutting with circular saws. It has been obtained the adequate regression equations, in particular the quality (surface roughness of board edge compared to its thickness, deformation, correlation of shear zones with cut) and force indices of process with the main parameters (board thickness, the angle of sharpening of blades, the value of blade vertical overlap, the ratio of the rotation velocities, diameter, and feed rate) that allow to determine the optimum schedules of cutting process. It has been determined the conditions (full angle of the material capture should not exceed the double angle of material friction to steel) of effective capture of material while cutting and material uniform feeding that provide stability of the board cutting process. It has been determined the conditions (the value of the specific pressure in the contact zone of the front edge of a blade with a machined surface should not exceed the limit of material strength in compression) of board edge integrity while cutting. It has been designed cutting tool disk with a special clamping device (patent of Ukraine No. 61293) that allows to compensate for the stresses due to pressure of a blade front edge on a board edge so that to decrease the value of deformation and improve the quality of cutting. The results used are the following: it has been ground the technology schedules and the tool design parameters for cutting fiberboard with disk blades. Implementation degree: it has been elaborated practical recommendations to implement the results obtained at "Uniplyt" Ltd. (town of Vygoda, Ivano-Frankivsk region) in order to improve the cutting process of fiberboard with further modernization of equipment currently used. The branch is woodworking industry.
