A comprehensive study of the geopolitical interests of Ukraine in the Black Sea region, the main aspects of their formation and implementation were done. Refined the content of certain geopolitical concepts defined system of geopolitical interests of Ukraine, the geopolitical interests of the subjects found in the region, identified the mechanisms of contemporary geopolitical interests of Ukraine in the region, based on an analysis of geopolitical potential defined Ukraine's place among them and built cognitive model of geopolitical interests of Ukraine in the Black Sea area. The possible geopolitical alliances Ukraine to take her the leading position in the Black Sea region are detected.
