Essay

The manuscript presents theoretical and experimental research of the development of verbal competence of future physicians. The thesis covered issues relating to the theory and development of verbal practice and skills of future physicians. The author described the essence of the concepts of "verbal competence," "verbal competence of future doctors", the study determined the structure of competence, and described general and specific skills that characterize advanced speech competence of future physicians identified psychological, psycholinguistic and lingual teaching basis for the development of verbal competence, practice development of verbal competence was analyzed, developed criteria for the analysis of speech skills and showed the levels of formation of verbal competence of medical students; lingual teaching conditions for the development of verbal competence of future physicians were formulated, method of speech competence were developed and experimentally verified, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed lingual teaching conditions. The research is provided the results of the practices analysis in the development of verbal competence of future doctors and showed the levels of formation of verbal abilities and skills of medical students. The result of the development of verbal competence depends on the following conditions: increased communication training by involving students in all kinds of speech activities, enriching the vocabulary of medical students on the basis of terminological lexicon professionally oriented texts and special dictionaries, and the system of work which is based on improving the culture of professional speech of future doctors; rhetoric of the learning process of future physicians.
