Essay

On the basis of a wide range of sources and results of field researches performed by the author, the thesis highlights transformational changes in the traditional ethnoculture of Romny area in late 20-s - 30-s of the 20th century. The state of scientific research of this matter in domestic and foreign historiographies was analyzed, and the investigation source basis was extended using the oral history method.The ruination processes of the traditional economic management during forced collectivization were examined, and living conditions of the public at that period were found out. Peculiarities of Romny inhabitants' sustenance in late 20-s - 30-s of the 20th century were investigated.
