Essay

The results of theoretical and empirical studies of vital stability of sailors who survived a pirate prisoner are presented in the thesis. In a series of the theoretical and the methodological problems of the most important issue was the precise definition of "piratical captivity." The solution to this problem has helped clarify the nature of modern piracy and criteria for the identification of some of its concrete expressions and forms. It is proved that the dynamics of changes in mental state sailor who is in a situation of piratical captivity, takes place in accordance with the selected phases of captivity.
