Essay

The thesis is devoted to the actual psychological and pedagogical problems of sensory development of mentally retarded preschoolers through the formation of perceptual actions, using a specially developed system of didactic games and exercises. The thesis describes the essence, stages and mechanisms of perceptual actions, features which to some extent characterize the sensory development of the individual. Developed in the thesis rates of formation of perceptual actions, allowed to determine the characteristics and sensory level of mentally retarded preschool children based on their perception of form, color and size of objects. Devised the method of guaranteeing sensory development of mentally retarded children through the use of didactic games and exercises based on certain features and levels of formedness of perceptual actions. Using the system of didactic games and exercises allows to adjust the sensory development of children of this category, to form their perceptual action at a sufficient level, required for their further development.
