Mitin M. Modern trends in regional integration in a globalizing world economy

The object of the study are the processes of regional integration in a globalizing world economy. The aim of the thesis is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations of the international study of regional integration and development of scientific and practical recommendations for improving the integration processes in the globalizing world economy. Methods: the dialectical method of knowledge, historical and logical system-structure analysis of economic processes and phenomena, analysis and synthesis techniques of quantitative and qualitative comparison, the methods of economic-mathematical modeling and forecasting, statistical and graphical methods. Theoretical results: are to deepen the theoretical foundations of the development process of international economic integration and development of scientific-methodological and scientific-practical recommendations for the development of international integration cooperation in a globalizing world economy. Practical results: consists in the fact that the obtained scientific results communicated to specific scientific and practical and organizational guidelines. Scientific novelty: the first time: economic-developed mathematical tools determine the intensity of intra-regional trade and integration group on the basis of the proposed trade introversion index symmetric; improved: theoretical and methodological foundations of studies of the global economy, organizational and economic regulatory framework of the integration processes with the participation of developing countries through provision of the generalized characteristics of the advantages and risks of participation of developing countries in various forms of regional cooperation have been further; developed: the theoretical basis of regionalization of world economy studies, theoretical and methodological foundations of the international study of regional cooperation. Degree of implementation: results of a study implemented in the practice of the Donetsk Regional Administration, the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce, Mariupol City Council, Department of Donetsk Chamber of Commerce in the city of Mariupol, OJSC "MMK Ilyich," and is also used in the learning process of Donetsk National University.
