The objective is the works by P. Tychyna (П. Тичина), V. Pidmohylniy (В. Підмогильний), M. Kulish (М. Куліш), E. Malaniuk (Є. Маланюк), O. Olzhych (О. Ольжич), J. Lypa (Ю. Липа), O. Stephanovych (О. Стефанович), J. Klen (Ю. Клен); the aim is to define and aesthetically analyze the components of a Neo-Baroque style in the Ukrainian literature of the first half of the XX century; methods are the system approach to the research of a work of literature, the formal method of the analysis, the stylistic analysis, the method of history and anthropology; the importance of this paper lies in the standpoint of the Neo-Baroque style in the Ukrainian literature of the first half of the XX century is a revival of the features of the Baroque esthetics; it was established that the conceptive nature of the Neo-Baroque figurativeness is connected with the categories of an allegory and grotesque; the application of a category of a concept in the researches of some monuments of the modernism age explains the attribution "baroque" ("бароковістю") in terms of aesthetics; for the first time the formation of the Neo-Baroque style was understood as a process of two parallel processes in the culture: the actualization of a Baroque esthetics in the European philosophy and philology beginning with F. Nietzsche and the inheritance of the Ukrainian Baroque conceptual tenet tradition in P. Iurkevych's philosophy; Prague School representatives' works were reviewed; the image of a poet as a man-of-style and the image of an antisocial hero-prophet were studied in terms of an expressionistic discourse; the ideological struggle with the ruling language proscription was analyzed; the results of the research can be used in a course of studies, History and Theory of Literature courses, History of Aesthetics at the higher educational establishments, at school teaching practice and during the methodical work; the field is philology
