The objective is M. S. Gumilev's plays "Don Juan in Egypt" ("Дон Жуан в Египте") (1912), "Dinner in Bezhetsk" ("Обед в Бежецке") (1912), "The Play" ("Игра") (1912), "Akteon" ("Актеон") (1913), "Allah's Child" ("Дитя Аллаха") (1917), "The Gondola" ("Гондла") (1917), "The Poisoned Tunic" ("Отравленная туника") (1918), "The Tree of Transformations" ("Дерево превращений") (1918) and "The Hunt for the Rhino" ("Охота на носорога") (1920), their editions and variants, unfinished drama scenes and the fragments of "Mandarin's Three Wives" ("Три жены мандарина") (1918), <Extract>, "The Green Tulip" "Morny's Beauty" ("Красота Морни") (<1919>), the translation of drama "Pippa Passes"(1914) by R. Browning, articles and theatrical reviews (1908-1912); the aim is to define the form of an intertext and the function of stylization in M. S. Gumilev's dramas; methods are the whole, motive, comparative typological, intertextual, myth and poetic analysis of works of literature; the importance of this paper lies in the detection of M. S. Gumilev's plays pretexts and in the determination of intertextual specific character and forms there; the function, peculiarities and the types of stylization were defined in his dramas; the principles of cycle making in his early plays were grounded; various correlations of poet's plays and his poetic work in 1912-1920s were characterized; the genre nature of plays and M. S. Gumilev's aesthetic conception were explicated, the role of drama in his legacy was specified; the results of the research can be used for studying the Russian Poetry and Drama of the first half of the XX century at the higher educational establishments, at courses of studies, workshops and for further researches of M. S. Gumilev's works; the field is philology
