A theoretical analysis of the study of the adaptation, its development state in the modern psychological science, was carried out on a basis of the research. Structure of the psychological factors of the adaptation of junior officers was refined. There were revealed the peculiarities of the influence of the individual and personality, social and psychological factors on the course of adaptation of junior officers to the military profession. The individual and personality factors are the psychological factors of adaptation, which include the characteristics of temperament, character, and adaptive skills, internalized adaptation experience and personal values orientations. The social and psychological factors include intimate-family, primary-professional, public, state and human factors. A set of psycho-diagnostic means to evaluate the level of adaptation of junior officers to the activity in special conditions was developed and tested. The comprehensive training program of correction of adverse psychological factors of the adaptation of junior officers was developed and the possibility of its use in the system of their professional training was shown. The organizational and methodological recommendations on psychological support of the adaptation of junior officers to the activity in special conditions in units (subunits) were developed and substantiated.
