Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of species composition, taxonomic and eco-coenotic structure of gasteromycetes of the Left-bank Ukraine. 91 species and 7 varieties of gasteromycetes were revealed. On the basis of criteria developed, rare and threatened species of gasteromycetes were established in the Left-bank Ukraine; candidates for the next edition of the Red book of Ukraine were proposed. A modified morphological system of the genus Lycoperdon Pers. was elaborated and an original identification key for the species of this genus found in the Left-bank Ukraine was created. For the first time the critical revision of the taxa of gasteromycetes described by professor P.E. Sosin as new for science was made.
