The thesis presents a comparative analysis of philosophical, psychological and educational aspects of translators/interpreters' training at UK universities. The problem of investigation included the influence of European integration processes on the translators/interpreters' training at UK universities. The major functions of translators/interpreters' professional training are defined. The requirements for translators/interpreters' training are proved according to British standards. The contents of educational programs and curricula structure are studied. Ways, technologies and methods of teaching and practice of translators/interpreters' training at the universities of Great Britain are explored.
