Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of formation of professional competence of future engineers-teachers in the teaching practice. The urgency of the problem is caused by the necessity to form the professional competence of the future engineer- teacher of sewing profile during the teaching practice and the insufficient research of scientifically proved technologies of teaching practice in the context of competence and activity approach. Much attention is given to the matter of professional competence of an engineer-teacher. The structure of vocational and educational activity and components of professional competence (motivational, cognitive, activity, reflexive) of a future engineer-teacher of the sewing profile in the teaching practice are defined. Conceptual and categorical apparatus of the research is specified. A notion "technology of teaching practice" is given a definition. A model of formation of professional competence is developed and proved, which includes: purpose, components of professional competence, content of teaching practice, technology of teaching practice, result. Educational and methodological manual "Teaching practice: cross-cutting program, methodological guidelines" for students, teachers and practice supervisors is worked out and introduced. The manual can be used in the higher educational establishments to organize teaching practice for future engineers-teachers. The given results prove that a model of formation of professional competence is effective, required tasks are carried out, the research goals are achieved.
