Nedozim A. The agro ecological reasons of different quality of sugar beet seeds

This thesis presents the results of studies on different quality of sugar beet seeds. Laws of action of agro ecological factors, varietal characteristics on the yield and quality of hybrid seeds are established. Seeds grown in the Steppe (Crimea) and the eastern part of Forest-steppe (Kharkiv region) are characterized by high sowing qualities: germination (80-85%), high quality (95-97%), weight of 1000 fruits (12,5-14,0 g). On the average for years of researches the yield of basic sowing fractions (3,5-4.5 and 4.5-5.5 mm) was almost the same as in the eastern part of Forest-steppe (81-82%) and in the Steppe (78-83%). Under conditions of unstable moistening of the eastern part of Forest-steppe of Ukraine more appropriate way is to grow hybrid seed production scheme 7:2 (ratio 3.5:1) compared with the scheme of 16:4 (ratio 4:1), bedding MSC root crops for the nutrition area 70 х 35, P - 70 х 60 cm + AP. Results of research were introduced in the production seeding in Ivaniv Experimental-Breeding Station and Experimental Farm "Shevchenkivske" (Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet). The annual economic effect amounted to 5-10.000 UAH. Keywords: different qualities, zones, cultivation schemes, varietal characteristics, area of nutrition, breeding components, yield, seed quality.
