Yarosh-Dmytrenko L. Formation of Ukrainian manufacturers’ international competitive advantages on the world’s machine building market.

Dissertation is devoted to the investigation of theoretical aspects of formation of Ukrainian manufacturers’ international competitive advantages on the world’s machine building market as one of the main components of stable competitive positions gained by Ukraine on the international markets. Paper discloses the influence of global business environment factors on international competition process consolidation. Modern theoretical approaches to international competitive advantages formation are integrated. Types of the competitive advantages depending on appearance area are separated and their factors are offered. The notion of international competitive advantage is specified on the basis of functional, institutional, organizational and territorial classification features’ combination. External economic risks influence on enterprises’ competitive advantages formation is disclosed. International machine building market’s development peculiarities and modern tendencies are revealed, that explains the attractiveness of the selected sector for investigation. Phased model of enterprises’ competitive advantages formation on the international markets is developed, its versatility and the possibility to use it in any sector are proved. Factors are sorted out for investigation of every offered model stage. Filter model of attractive international machine building markets consisting of four filters is offered. Machine building enterprises’ competitive advantages classification is developed. Initial study on Ukrainian machine building enterprises is conducted for foreign-economic activity risks’ exposure. Strategy of foreign-economic activity risk integrated index is developed, that gives the possibility to determine the level of this risk. Integration of “foreign-economic activity risk level” and “international activity development level” notions into matrix is offered. Factors forming the enterprise’s competitive advantages depending on its type of entrance to the international market are specified. The most attractive international markets are determined for the Ukrainian machine building manufacturers (Russia and China), that gave the possibility to conduct comparative analysis of competitive advantages formation on the selected markets. Integrated index of foreign-economic activity risk on Russian and Chinese markets is calculated. System of risks management of Ukrainian manufacturers’ activity on international machine building markets is offered. Practical recommendations on Ukrainian machine building sector’s enterprises competitive advantages consolidation on the international markets are grounded.
