Essay

The dissertation focuses on lexical semantic, structural peculiarities of the socio-political lexis on the basis of the Ukrainian and English languages. The paper defines the modes structuring of the socio-political lexis and builds the lexical semantic fields "Society. State", "Politics", "Law", "Economics" in the Ukrainian and English languages. Semantic ideographical representation of socio-political lexis, its qualitative and quantitative analyses resulted in establishing common and distinctive features in the lexical semantic interpretation of the socio-political life of Ukraine and Great Britain.
