Essay

The dissertation focuses on the study of Egyptian modus in Lesya Ukrainka’s works. It summarizes the traditional canon of literary criticism interpretation in period from 1900 till nowadays, describes the peculiarities of the topological supertexts in total scientific conceptions and elucidates in a view of symbolic specifics of images the most important senses of Lesya Ukrainka’s Egyptian text. The author of the study analyzes the semantic saturation of this valuable unity, its competence and key features determining theoretical and practical nature of the supertext as it is. In the dissertation the binary oppositions are investigated to classify the author’s models of mythological and real Egypt, fulfilling literary analyses of Lesya Ukrainka’s works with original interpretation. It also suggests the functions of Egyptian text as the perspective strategy in the learning such moduses as limited freedom, art, cultural memory etc. In the thesis the sign constructions are examined with exposing of characters-antagonists’ interpretation (gods, people, elements, objects of lifeless nature).
