Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the theoretical and experimental research of the problem of psychological features of foreign language mastering strategies formation by future philologists. On the principles of theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of use of the foreign language mastering strategies the concepts «learning strategy» and «foreign language mastering strategу», their general and particular features are found out. The dynamics of the development of foreign language mastering strategies of future philologists during their studying in Institute of higher education is described. The conditionality of the foreign language mastering strategies is confirmed by the processes of understanding and speaking a foreign language. Two basic types of strategies are educed in every type of speech activity: «serial» and «global» strategies. As a result of the empiric research of the mentioned dynamics the models of invariant strategies of listening, speaking, reading and writing are offered. During the psychological experiment the author’s program that provides forming of the listening strategy is approved. As a result of realization of the program positive changes are fixed in the use of strategies by students for the facilitation of the process of foreign language acquisition. On the basis of the experiment the psychological features of foreign language mastering strategies formation by future philologists are worked out.
