The thesis is devoted to the nature and contents of forming students' tolerance in teaching process of Social Sciences. The essence of the concept of tolerance and factors affecting have been determined. The psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of students' tolerance formation have been investigated. The role and importance of Social Sciences in the process of forming senior pupils' tolerance at secondary school have been highlighted. The methodical conditions of an effective students' tolerance formation by means of Social Sciences have been grounded. The state of students' tolerance formation in teaching practice of Social Sciences has been analyzed; the criteria indicators and levels of its formation have been determined. The effective methods of students' tolerance formation in teaching process of Social Sciences have been worked out.
