Research object - process operation finish turning. The purpose - to improve the quality of manufacturing workers friction surfaces of machine parts by improving the technological operation turning with electric heating. Methods - mathematical statistics, finite element, computer and mathematical modeling with the fundamental provisions of mechanical engineering, thermal processes, cutting theory and the theory of scientific experiments. Experimental studies conducted on modernized equipment using the appropriate technological equipment and certified measuring devices. Test parts for durability performed on a friction machine СМЦ-2. The novelty is to improve the method of turning with electric heating by applying a pulse current of rectangular shape with variable frequency and duty cycle, and its direction of insertion into the processing zone. Results can improve the performance of manufacturing parts with functional surfaces friction by reducing the number of operations while providing the specified quality. Practical research results implemented in technological processes of production of PJSC "Slave Machine Building Plant" Industry - engineering enterprises of Ukraine.
