Essay

The thesis is devoted to the complex scientific analysis of the European legal standards as an international legal category. There were defined that the consolidations of the basic administrative unit, organizational and functional reforms, financial and economic reforms are the main characteristics and the trends in implementation and enforcement of the European legal standards for local self-government in the national law systems of the European countries. The peculiarities of the implementation of European legal standards for local self-government in Ukraine are defined, as well as the impact assessment on Ukrainian legal system was described.
