The object of research is the development of the world market of energy resources in the global economy. Purpose of the thesis is to deepen the theoretical and methodological, organizational and economic foundations of the world market of energy resources and the development of scientific and practical recommendations to optimize the inclusion of countries with different types of economic development to the world energy market in the context of globalization of the latter. Methods: theoretical generalization, methods of analysis and synthesis, the method of statistical analysis, the grouping, the economic-mathematical methods. The theoretical results are: lies in deepening and development of theoretical and scientific-methodical development provisions in the global energy market in the context of globalization and the development of scientific and practical recommendations for improving the assessment of the level of energy security of the national economies. Bottom line: is to develop the scientific and practical provisions and recommendations for improvement of the functioning of the global energy market and enhance energy security of the national economies of the different types of economic and social development in a globalized world the problems of ensuring energy resources of the world economy. Scientific novelty: for the first time: a comprehensive approach to assessing the level of energy security in dependence on energy imports; improved: a mechanism for the creation of the European regional energy market; category definitions "International Trade Integration" and "Energy Security"; a block diagram of the formation and energy security; were further developed: the theoretical and methodological approach to the study of the global energy market based on the extraction of the last five stages of analysis; organizational and methodological framework for the analysis of security of energy resources of the world economy in a global economy through modeling the consumption of energy resources to meet their basic types. The degree of implementation: the results introduced into practice of the Commission for Industry, Fuel and Energy, Transport and Telecommunications of Donetsk Regional Council, Donetsk Chamber of Commerce, Mariupol City Council, Mariupol Department of Donetsk Chamber of Commerce, Mariupol Illich Metallurgical Plant, JSC "Azovzagalmash" (Mariupol), and used in the training process of Mariupol State University.
