Essay

In this work substantiated and experimentally tested methodology of personal written statements editing skills formation in fifth grade students has been proposed. The nature, structure and mechanisms of the editing process have been determined; classification of errors has been developed; evaluation criteria for improvement of writing and editing skills have been specified. This resulted in the creation of a system of tasks and exercises of different difficulty levels that implements a comprehensive approach to developing abilities to edit personal written texts based on fundamental linguistics concepts, assimilation of the psychological processes of self-monitoring by means of quality assessment of written text and linguistic methodology conditions.
