Kotsan R. Establishment and Development of Transborder Cooperation in the Ukrainian-Polish Borderland.

It is proved that transborder cooperation serves as a facility for enhancement and enrichment of local and regional life in both material and non-material spheres and also that it is an instrument for a country to position itself in Europe and to create politically stable environment in a region. It is revealed that transborder cooperation develops on the basis of a number of principles and has various organization forms among which Euroregion is the most effective one. The main factors of transborder cooperation development are determined to be of geopolitical, socio-economic, natural-resource and political-legislative nature. It is also proved that the Ukrainian-Polish transborder cooperation is effectively conducted within Euroregions "Carpathian" and "The Bug".
