Karpiuk Y. Influence of Christian morality upon value and orientation sphere of elementary school pupils.

The thesis touches upon the problem of spiritual and moral value orientation of elementary school pupils by means of Christian morality. Based on the theoretical analysis of scientific researches that devoted to religious belief and Christian morality their moral and educational, spiritual and developing, psychological and therapeutical potential has been substantiated. The examination of scientific analysis of the problem of formation and functioning of value and orientation sphere of personality allows to create conceptual principles for empirical research based on the idea that elementary school age is sensitive to spiritual and value orientation. The technique of empirical research of value and orientation sphere of psyche of elementary school pupils has been developed. The technique is used to determine stable and integral links between Christian morality in Catholical school where educational process is based on Christian moral teaching; the subject «Christian ethics» is studied. These facts are content indicators of value and orientation sphere of psyche of elementary school pupils. They exceed the pupils from contrast groups studying at the usual schools by all axiological indices namely moral motivation of behaviour in society, moral reflexion, sympathetical empathy, humanity, communicative tolerance, realization of notions «happiness», «good», «mercy» etc.
