Torichnyy V. The Influence of the Border Guards’ Professional Image on Their Personal Security Providing.

In the research the essence has been specified, the psychological components and the factors of the border guards’ personal security providing have been defined and the professional image has been determined as one of them. The notion of the border guards’ professional image has been defined and its structure has been ascertained. The study results of the state of the formed border guards’ professional image and its dependence on such features of the stated category of people as their age, sex and professional status have been represented. The special features of the emphasis of the personal security psychological components of the border guards with different levels of their formed image have been analyzed. It has been ascertained that the border guards’ personal security providing is fully supported with the high level and the above-medium level of their formed professional image. The program of forming the border guards’ professional image as the factor of their personal security providing has been elaborated. The stated program has been experimentally tested and it has represented the positive dynamic changes concerning the levels of the formed professional image and the indices of the personal security psychological components of the members from the experimental groups in comparison with the control groups.
