Essay

The main features and interrelations between processes of economic globalization and urbanization are studied. The specific intellectual non-industrial component of megapolis economic growth and megaeconomic leadership meaning creative function is carried out. The main elements and multi-level morphological system of creative function development are generated. The last comprises of creative basis, traditional creative industries and modern creative industries, which in complex explain the megaeconomic phenomenon of local growth and global economic system - as hierarchical framework of the most productive and influential megapolises of the world. In thesis there have been studied the modern features of European urban system. There have been proved the prevalence of international servicing specialization in EU megapolises, primarily in sphere of creative goods production for the global market, of advanced business services and innovative informational content industries. The author has proved the tight relationship between creative function improvement and productivity increasing in EU megapolises' economy, as well as there have been grounded three effective models of creative factors stimulation in them. In the thesis there have been made the European identification of the Ukrainian megapolises. There have been proposed referring mechanisms and instruments for the convergent models implementation in megapolises of Ukraine on their way to harmonize with European standards.
