Lehkun O. The development of Volyn' music culture of the end of the 19th - the first third of the 20th century

This thesis is devoted to highlighting peculiarities of Volyn' music culture development of the end of the 19th - the first third of the 20th cent. The works of fatherland historians and art critics, archival materials, periodicals which reveal Volyn' music culture process of development of the under proof period are analyzed. The activity and repertoire of amateur choral and instrumental groups, cultural and enlightenment societies are observed, the concert performances of local musicians, the touring activity of prominent artists and their influence on the development of Volyn' music culture are analyzed. The process of formation and development of Volyn' folkloristics is analyzed. Contribution into Volyn' cultural life of musicians, pedagogues and composers is enlightened. For the first time the content of music education in Volyn' educational establishments is revealed.
