The dissertation is devoted to theoretical and practical issues of the international legal regime of the territorial sea. The scientific work discusses the issues of origin of institution of the territorial sea in the international law, development of the concept of the territorial sea in doctrine and practice of the international law ХIХ – early ХХ centuries, questions of the codification of the Institute of the territorial sea at the third UN Conference of the Law of the Sea.
