In dissertation the theoretical and empirical analysis of a stage presence barrier as a changeable state and as a stable feature of personality is carried out. A concept of "stage presence barrier" is specified, its structure which includes: psychophysiological index, emotional, cognitive, connotative, control and regulatory, motivational-valued, ergic, index of propensity to "stop-reactions" is presented. For diagnostics of indexes of propensity to stage presence barriers The Test-Questionnaire of Individual Measure of Severity of a Stage Presence Barrier was worked out, its approbation showed sufficient validity and reliability, that allows to use it for research and practical purposes. To diagnose the actual experience of a stage presence barrier a variant of The Prolonged Diary Technique was worked out. Psychological descriptions of persons who are prone or not to a stage presence barrier are distinguished and described. A concept of "barrier personality" which is provided by a certain complex of its features and manifests itself in the increased readiness of performer to experience a stage presence barrier is defined. It is set that the individually-psychological specificity of a stage presence barrier is determined by emotionality.
