Essay

The object of the research is the scientific heritage of М.А. Yegorov in the segment of development of agricultural science and education in Ukraine for 1905-1942,documents and materials, in which it has found its reflection. For the first time in the dissertation the complex studying of the life, scientific, organizational, pedagogical and public activities of М.А. Yegorov in the context of development of soil science, Agrochemistry in the evaluation of its role in the development of the domestic agricultural science and education of the first half of the XX century on the basis of the general principles of scientific objectivity and historical accuracy have been carried out. During the research common scientific and historical research methods have been used (historical-biographical, structural and systemic approaches, complexity, periodization). For the first time bibliography of works of researcher, publications about him, archival documents about the life and work of the scientist have been systematized by using special techniques.
