The thesis investigates the problem of the future economists cross-cultural competency formation in the higher agrarian institutions. Theoretical understanding of the nature and the structure of the "cross-cultural competency" phenomenon for future economists in higher agricultural institutions" is concretized. Сriteria and the level of its formation are described. It is found that the concept of "cross-cultural competency" has several synonyms: "multicultural competency", "intercultural competency", "ethnocultural competency," "transcultural competency".
