Simonova M. Globalization of the institutional environment of yhe foreign direct investment

The dissertation is devoted to the research, covering formation of institutional environment for international investment process. Present thesis contains a review, which concerns foreign investment theories in the context of their institutional component as well as quality changes of institutional environment at the different stages of international development process. Special consideration is given to analyzing experience of the leading countries, EU countries and countries with the emerging market economies in the attraction of the foreign direct investments with the aim of creating recommendations as to the improvement of institutional environment for FDI attraction in Ukraine based on the obtained analysis results. The present status of the institutional environment for the FDI attraction in Ukraine was defined on the basis of Ukraine's international ratings. A statistical analysis was performed, which allowed to establish the correlation between these Ukraine's international ratings and FDI inflow, as well as to define the institutional environment factors most influencing the FDI dynamics for Ukraine. Obtained statistical data supported the creation of the effective recommendations as to the improvement of institutional environment for FDI attraction in Ukraine.
