The study of the patterns of inflammation and reparative regeneration is one of the fundamental problems of the modern pathological physiology. Despite the development of modern methods of invasive and functional diagnostics, the early detection and prediction of the severity of cold injuries is still a great problem. In this connection, the new, more reliable methods of diagnosis of the cold injury level are much needed. The laboratory diagnostic methods can be highly effective in this aspect. The most perspective are the rates of connective tissue metabolism and inflammatory markers.
