Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the theoretical basics of labour motivation, analysis of the impact of spread of information technology on the change of the content and nature of work, transformation of needs and interests, determination of mechanisms of motivation developed in the transition to the information economy. The patterns of information society based on knowledge are unfold that helps to determine the prospects of transition countries that are at the stage of moving from industrial development to post-industrial stage. Objective factors of change of work motivation in the information society are revealed, which allows displaying the relationships and interdependence of the motivational mechanism. Conflicts concerning motivational process and development trends of work motivation, adequate information needs of the economy are considered, allowing identifying problems and opportunities of forming an effective system of motivation in Ukraine. Suggestions for improving the state regulatory influences on motivational mechanisms were formed, the selection of priorities and incentives to stimulate the transition to information society, information culture on motivational environment.
