The culturological, philosophical and anthropological analysis of role-play games as a phenomenon of culture is carried out in the dissertation. The actuality of the investigation theme is provided by the fact that role-play games as an instrument for creating and renovating senses necessary for the transformation of human existence, as well as the role-playing principle of inheriting sacral ideas within the frames of a culture, have not yet been properly interpreted in the scientific sources. Typology of the role-play games is deduced for the first time in the field of domestic culturological, philosophical and anthropological debate. Role-play games, viewed in the cultural aspect, include formal, professional, training and existential varieties. The sense-creating basis of the actualization of role-play impulses in cultural context are analyzed.
