Essay

The thesis presents results of theoretical and experimental studies aimed at solving the problem of improving the efficiency of heat-stressed electronic and optoelectronic components. Prospects to increase the performance characteristics of central processor units (CPU) and light emitting diodes (LED) using thermoelectric cooling are considered. Generalized model of thermoelectric cooling system is proposed and theoretical basis of optimum matching its components including cooled object, TEC and a heat sink in their thermal interaction is developed.
