Oleksiuk-Tykholiz Y. Hutsul garment of end of ХІХ - beginning of ХХІ century. Cultural aspects.

Specialties of the ethnic Hutsul garment are established and recognized as a phenomenon of the Ukrainian culture.Profound analysis of the artistic peculiarities of the specific elements and complements in the outfit is performed. Its direct influence on the creation of the integrity and harmony of the garment complex is absolutely determined. There was revealed a huge variety of the ornamental and compositional techniques.The most significant principles of the synthesis techniques, color and ornamental patterns are substantiated. The existence of Hutsul ethnic garments is traced in ceremonial occasions and its true conception of the world is clearly revealed. A strongly significant and dominant role is given to international and thematic Hutsul festivals as means of revival, development and preservation of traditions, customs and cultural values of the sub region. The interpretation of the traditional Hutsul garments is also reviewed in a contemporary modeling.
