Essay

The dissertation reveals objective and subjective preconditions of the creation of the scientific medical societies on the ground of Ukraine as a part of the Russian Empire. The author follows the transfer of the European medical science to the medical societies and at the same time the contrary influence of the native achievements in the branch of the epidemiology and bacteriology at the development of the European scientific centers.The dissertation analyses the preferential directions of the society of the doctors of Kyiv (sanitary and antiepidemic), of the society of the doctors of Odessa (statistic and sanitary, bacteriological), of the society of the doctors of Kharkiv (social and prophylactic, experimental) and also the creation of the bacteriological institutes, laboratories and so on.
