Essay

The dissertation provides theoretical substantiation and experimental study of the characteristics of the development of teenage girls' gender identity in boarding schools. Analysis of socio-psychological factors influencing the formation of gender identity in the adolescence was conducted. The study determines differences in the structure of teenage girls' gender identity in secondary schools in comparison to teenage girls' gender identity in specialized boarding schools. Experimental research indicated the expediency and efficiency of socio-psychological trainings for adolescent girls. Methodological recommendations for psychology practitioners aimed at development of the girls' gender identity were formulated.
